My latest commissioned painting happily unveiled. As its title suggests, a tale of the rhythm and movement, the transient impermanence of life…..Of having walked from far inside yourself out into the revelation….
So beautifully articulated by one of my favourite poets,
David Whyte….
I've been a full time painter of light for 40 years - self taught and independent, a former President of the NZ Academy of Fine Arts.
I'm into sustainability, planting trees and spiritual ecology. This includes growing award winning Lavender oil and olive oil.
I'm a student of the Diamond Approach; a psycho-spiritual path to realizing and developing our fullest potential

absolutely love this – art and poetry walk hand in hand. Is this vibrant painting watercolour or acrylic…?
What beautiful paintings Ian.
I love the message you’ve integrated into them. So many things…. yes, they are here – for today. A good reminder.
thank you for sharing both your lovely paintings and the poem!! cheers, Debi

Thanks Maureen. This is an oil painting, it’s my natural and favourite medium for creating a sense of vibrancy, light and aliveness!
