While I was at Yosemite I was playing with the panorama function on my iPhone, this one at the Grizzly Giant at Mariposa. This is nearly a 360′ panorama, a fellow photographer saw what I was trying to do and tried desperately to get himself out of the picture….
We had a good laugh when I showed him the results of his efforts but it brought to mind Marcel Duchamps’ 1910 painting; ‘Nude descending the Stairs’…..capturing movement in time. It was revolutionary then and I’m still filled with wonder at his vision, and how that has been translated into todays technology of the everyday.
I thought that was pretty cool…. Time to play a bit more deliberately now!
