Some of the places you have to go to do painting commissions are pretty cool, and this is up there as one of them! Tulum Playa, Mexico…. Putting my feet up after walking the beach, 5k each way in the baking heat! It’s the weed season straight in from the USA apparently…. and it’s turtle… Continue reading Embrace the Mystery!

Let there be Light!
Given up trying to figure the weather! But doesn’t it lift the spirits to feel the sun come shining through? succumbing to the beauty, Loving light and curiosity leads me on into the vastness….
Stillness…
The winter stillness permeates right to the depths of my soul…. I’m finding my way home at the Kenepuru!
A different Light
The same place, a different light and the wonder of the changing moods as it plays over the Kenepuru… at Hou Ngahere The drama of the big sky, A sense of hope emerging From within the dark clouds…. You can see more of my paintings in the Paintings Gallery above, or at http://www.ianhamlin.co.nz
Fireworks in the snow
Kate and I had a very happy New Year with friends in Norway. We are One
It was great to get into the fresh, clear and wintery air of the South Island and the hot pools at Hanmer Springs. There is nothing like a trip into the wilds to open your heart… “It is essential to acknowledge that the Earth is not unfeeling matter, but a living being that has given… Continue reading We are One
Dance of the Grizzly Giant
While I was at Yosemite I was playing with the panorama function on my iPhone, this one at the Grizzly Giant at Mariposa. This is nearly a 360′ panorama, a fellow photographer saw what I was trying to do and tried desperately to get himself out of the picture…. We had a good laugh when… Continue reading Dance of the Grizzly Giant
